PIRATE BAY CASE
Ah, the Pirate Bay.
ReplyDeleteThey know they're doing wrong, but they can't be stopped. To be honest, they're acting very unethically in this case. They have the power to stop something they know is illegal (by way of stopping the service), but they choose not to. Anyone that tries to shut them down gets shut out in turn. =/
I wonder where international law and the Berne convention will go here. If enough money is involved I wouldn't doubt these individuals being subject to other treatments outside of the law. This would be very difficult to stop regardless. They are only facing two years and high fines? Many are not going to fear that. They have a weird technicality of hosting the links to the actual sites. What if the record company hosted a link to the Pirate Bay's owner's home address to certain fanatics that wanted handle up? Would they be responsible if these fanatics simply found the info on the site?
ReplyDeletethey are really smart because there isnt any illegal movies or games on there, all they have is the links on their website. So i cant really say they are doing something illegal
